This “BORDEAUX MARITIME” project will offer comfortable housing, resolutely at the forefront of all thinking that seeks to harmonize the living environment and the protection of rediscovered sites.
The building is made up of a steel structure into which will be inserted container blocks whose random location and positioning recall the past as a storage and maintenance workshop for ships that came to do their refit before setting out to sea.
The architectural part is thus resolutely industrial and contemporary.
If the original structure is preserved, it is intended to highlight the “Gustave EIFFEL” type construction method. The contemporary building is configured in such a way that no structure is placed on the natural ground, which allows the vegetation to continue “its life” and above all to preserve the vegetal atmosphere of the banks of the GARONNE as we know them.
The pleasure of this place will be within the reach of all the occupants.
